I've been following some of this thread re VRL but I must admit I don't really understand the concepts behind film distribution.

Who actually made the movie?? Warner Bros? Fox?

These guys would then own the distribution rights. The cinemas then pay for these rights and get a cut of total box office takings which offset the costs of acquiring the rights.

I have my doubts over whether this is a huge deal for VRL - just another movie - albeit slightly more profitable assuming they didn't pay through the nose for the rights! What are you guys talking about??!!
