Restoration work on heritage buildings incurs more inspections and time delays than normal. There would have been quite a bit of engineering survey and design for the structural integratory of the front part especially as it shows one of the support columns in the bar is to be removed.
I also went into Google maps street view both front and the street behind (possible rear access) and liked the aspect of opening up the connection to the street showing the amenities especially from the markets opposite, that in itself will attract patrons.
I will in Brisbane within the next few months and will enjoy the run up there for a look around and a cold one or two.

I agree woodie, the design allowing people to see through to the back will really open it up. I go to the markets every couple of months and it's ripe for a project like this. The existing pub is not as inviting as this for visitors stopping for lunch and a drink.
