A great post regarding progress, I saved the report and have been through the plans several times.
As far as the timeline has progressed i see there have been a few revisions of the drawings and that seems normal for this type of work.
Restoration work on heritage buildings incurs more inspections and time delays than normal. There would have been quite a bit of engineering survey and design for the structural integratory of the front part especially as it shows one of the support columns in the bar is to be removed.
I also went into Google maps street view both front and the street behind (possible rear access) and liked the aspect of opening up the connection to the street showing the amenities especially from the markets opposite, that in itself will attract patrons.
I will in Brisbane within the next few months and will enjoy the run up there for a look around and a cold one or two.
