Well I do hope he is saved and your good self as well, whatever that means. I can't do anything about your literal fixation, you have to work through that yourself.
As for me, well I'm doing the best I can with what I have to work with. I don't see myself as a hybrid anything. I see all true religion as aspects of one religion and I see science as an outreach of religion that we employ to discover the truth and wonders of Creation in the physical world. Religion and science serve the same truth.
