Check the Interlinears and look for the definition of the Greek word, it and this etc are appropriate usages.
He or him can also he used, depends of the context, but in the Comforter sections, it should be it.
But you know who is behind the it = the Father who is the Holy Spirit, the one Jesus says, we will all be taught by God.
John 14:17, spirit of truth will be in you etc = aligns perfectly with 1 & 2 Cor, us being the Temples.
God there who is the Father, is interchanged with the Holy Spirit as they are one in the same.
God is Spirit and not "a" Spirit, which imo would put limitations on him.
