Well, yes, I accept this is in play because no religion lasts for 2000 years. It's in play in the sense that every religion corrupts over time and must be replaced because it has lost its way.

Religion is never repaired from within, once religion corrupts it is replaced, it is never reformed. As Jesus said, you can't put new wine in an old wineskin. Religions are not established to span such dramatic changes in the human social landscape across 2000 years. God clearly responds to our needs within shorter timeframes. So as per you quotes, I put it to you that the whole of Christendom is misled, and under this strong delusion, without exception.

As all prophecies for the return of Jesus end by 1844 we have a problem, either of understanding what the true meaning of the Return is or prophecy is not worth the paper it's printed on.
