With respect Sallywoofs, have you ever been to Africa?

Its a continent full of independent countries, dictatorships, corruption, vested interest, little to no compassion for the people from their leadership.
In parts there is periodic war, genocide, tribal hatred on a scale you most likely cannot comprehend.
Education is poor, to put it politely, the average personal wage is pitiful and this is why children are used for family income to support their elders.
When opportunity is not available they work in other African countries, sending money home for survival.
Mostly living rurally in shacks and tribal dwellings made from local resources.
The Africans (people in general) are mostly beautiful resilient people. hard working and proud.
They trust their leaders mostly and get shafted, mostly.
In my opinion, Aid does not, mostly get to the people it is intended, it is substantially diluted along the way.
There is a toughness and resilience in the people that we in the west mostly do not comprehend.
That resilience is not learned, it is earned.

You can impose all the laws in the world in Africa, they still do not work.
The leadership are mostly not committed to the peoples best interest and the rule of law.

I know this because I spent 35 years in Africa.
I understand brutal Africa.
Africa has incredible natural and cultural beauty, it gets into your blood and changes you.
Perhaps a holiday with your earnings ?
