it was such a moving article many will remember the time when little Josie was with us - but hearing these pieces from their private family perspective and as a family they nurse her, giving her the best life she can have whilst still bringing up their other young kids… these are real heroes.
hoping and fighting desperately to find anything that will help her condition… and give her a longer life with quality of life - I find Matt & phoebe Dun and family remarkable for their courage and their spirit… under such a burden to live with for every day over years.
this article is both heartbreaking and hopeful - extending life with quality is the first part - then pushing back that parameter, I’m happy to be a part of this in some very small way.
there are many diseases that once were a death sentence… that then become a condition which slightly reduces life but you have a life, one day these terrible cancers will be handled like this until there is a full cure.
I still can’t quite believe little Josie passed 3 years ago - such a brave little person full of character.
