Well obviously it's the job that get's to these guys. Looks like 2 to 2.5 years is about the tenure.
The previous MD Paul Moore also resigned for "personal reasons" in 2011 (7/09 - 7/11), but at least stuck around for 3 months to help out while they found a new CEO.

Alex Parks - 12/06 - 6/09 (resigned/axed? after BHPP 1st withdrawal from potential SC55 JV).
And now drilling in Tanzania by Feb 2016...another two years out!!
What happened to the "Kito" well in the KK block planned for Nov/Dec 2014, according to SWE's Investor Preso dated Dec 2013 page 20??
Looks like the conservative approach has just got even more conservative.
