Recent performance
MK has struggled to reach current sales of Euro 10.5m and has consistently lost money. However it has strong shareholders including J & J, Telix and Tasly (Chinese JV) which have ensured survival.
Most consider OIL technology is superior but again sales penetration has been difficult despite Pentax distribution, Zeiss involvement and various minor distributors.
OIL has benefited by strong share price promotion (eg following introduction of new shareholders) but the curent marlet cap is more aspirational than results based. The current rating of OIL shares might be termed demanding compared to five year forecasts by directors.
