Nutational technique for limiting well bore deviation
Well bore deviation from vertical is reduced or corrected by inducing a lateral deflection of the drill string at a predetermined location above the drill bit to force the drill bit to return to vertical.
Looks like the hardness of the rock is causing the drill to deviate from vertical and they are trying to adjust back to vertical???
