people trade intra day moves all the time in stocks as well as indices.
The price of the purchase is not relevant. It is the momentum and direction for these traders.
Not my cup of tea as I can't watch screens all day but many do.
It may have been kinder to ask why he traded that way rather than show ignorance with an insult.
