It just depends on the stocks liquidity and if it has an active market maker on board. In many incidents a distribution algo will be paused to allow demand to build back up and then resume into that demand. The bad (or good) part of bots is that it’s so difficult to work out if they’re accumulating or distributing plus there may be many bots on the same stock and maybe working against each other. I highly doubt it on May as there’s just not the volume or interest , but on the blueys there are heaps of algo trading in both directions. But to answer your question, we are all only speculating if they’re accumulating for expectant news, who knows they may be distributing based off the same news. Heres a scenario to think about. Do MAY have plenty of capital? Maybe soph’s are distribution in stealth mode in readiness to take on a raise? Not saying that’s what’s going on but it’s a popular reason.
