I sort of accept AP’s damned if you do damned if you don’t argument. If it is within ASX rules to hold off on announcing material that has not fully crystallised in terms of price sensitivity as he said he could do, we then get the endless chants of ‘where’s the announcement?’; ‘they must be hiding things’ e.c.t.
The effect on the SP plays into the hands of traders, against fundamentals. Interesting though that he made no attempt to defend himself against the charge of poorly worded announcements.
