i don't see exactly how this SPP is a 'joke'. i don't think PLV has a crystal ball that would have told them the whole market would fall over after they announced it. it doesn't close til next thursday anyway, so may go up between now and then. we shall see.

PLV's best bet is to extend the closing date to try and get more SPP subscribers, as many other companies have done when the share price falls in a similar manner.

there are some odd unmarketable parcels going through, but i suspect the share price is not significantly being manipulated. people on hotcopper seem to think every stock is being manipulated (along with every stock being a takeover target). even if it is, there's nothing anyone can do about it. just play the hand you are dealt.
