There are a whole lot of wand device out there.  The customer has no hope of determining themselves what is a gimmick and what is not.  Things that will let one of these stand above the others are :

• a specific and trustworthy test based claim
• a trusted brand name
• a large marketing effort
• anecdotal evidence the product actually works (reviews, friends)

Fortunately in OBJ+P&G, we have all of these.
