    Absolute sheep.

They have NIL,  NONE and ZIP ability to be sceptical about anything they are told.  They just except without question what they are told.  Like Sheep looking for a leader somewhere in the pack to take them by the hand and lead them out of this awful world.
Meanwhile the black sheep peeps just do a simple google search of Columbia Glacier and Paleontology
Is the news being twisted.  Are the sheep only be told half the story.
Perhaps Bellcurve could click the links and LEARN.

Trees inhabited the higher ground only to be bulldozed over with the advancing glacier.

History tells us it WAS far warmer in those locations.  Tree dont grow at higher altitudes because it is FREEZING as according to Bellcurves number one source.

someone is LYING.  And it aint the treelines being exposed from the melting glaciers.
    Bloody sheep everywhere.

A THOUSAND YEAR HISTORY OF GLACIAL CHANGE FROM COLUMBIA GLACIER, PRINCE WILLIAM SOUND, ALASKA

Many of the trees found in the area were partially buried, with roots in place. This ensures that the trees were killed where they were found. Secondly, many of the trees were found at any angle pointing down the Columbia Bay, away from the glacier (Figure 5). This provides evidence that the trees were over by the Columbia Glacier as it advanced down the fjord.

This retreat leaves the Columbia Bay choked by icebergs of all sizes (Figure 3). As this retreat continues, trees killed by the glacier during past advances are unearthed. These trees were the subject of our trip to Alaska. The group spent the two weeks collected samples from these trees in an effort to describe the conditions surrounding the movement of the Columbia Glacier (Figure 4).

Figure 4: A “kill site.” This is an example of the trees run over by the Columbia Glacier during an advance.
Figure 5: This tree’s orientation provides evidence of a glacial advance.

CALVING GLACIERS WITH EMPHASIS ON COLUMBIA GLACIER, PRINCE WILLIAM SOUND

    Columbia Glacier

What is the importance of studying Columbia Glacier?

Among the world’s most studied tidewater glaciers is Columbia Glacier, located in Prince William Sound just west of Valdez, Alaska (Figure 6). It is well documented to have been experiencing calving and rapid retreat up its fjord since 1982. The water depth and fjord geometry at Columbia Glacier has allowed for its continued retreat to date, even though its AAR is above the equilibrium level of 0.6 required for it to begin advancing again (Lapham, 2001). Thus, it is apparent that non-climatic variables currently make more of an impact on the calving behavior of this glacier than do climatic variables, and it will most likely continue this process of retreat until the water in the fjord becomes more shallow (Post, 1975).
