My point, a 1 share parcel in closing auction is not an example of successful manipulation, nor has it had any significant impact on the final closing prices for MAY share price...today, or recently.

- Last price during normal trade was 0.1275$
- 965k shares at 0.125$ were traded at 4:10pm today.
- According to https://hotcopper.com.au/posts/60118686/single from same poster, ~7.1mil @0.125$ on BUY | 1.3m @0.13$ on SELL remained after auction

As an of example of why I responded to https://hotcopper.com.au/posts/60120639/single
"Then with a split second to go their algorithm adjusts their buy or sell side order (whichever is required for their desired outcome) to ensure the sell side in this case has a surplus of 1 share vs the buy side and hence stepping the price down on the close. This serves two purposes, one is to create the look of price weakness and two is to acquire shares at a discount. This form of manipulation can and does get played to the upside too."

The surplus is what is left over at the final traded price - in todays case, that was ~7.1mil @0.125$, not 1 @0.125$.
Take the time 1 microsecond before the auction closed - at what price would you enter a 1 share trade to manipulate the final closing price?

Perhaps they were referring to Overlap instead of surplus?
It took 965k shares to drop share price (downward overlap) to 0.0025$ during auction - once again, how can a 1 share parcel make any meaningful impact?

I get it, in normal trading, the 1 share trades may influence the unwary.
But I don't think it helps to imply that it has anywhere near the same impact in closing auction for MAY.

I definitely don't know all like some experts and ASX veterans in this thread.

Hopefully it adds value - felt weird typing it out cause it is somewhat basic, but hard to explain.
