They certainly have. I saw one rating that had Datt Capital Small Caps in the top 10 active funds (as opposed to passive or index) for the first quarter (when tech stocks and the market in general got smashed). They put Datt's return down to having gold small caps and MLX. That sort of stock picking appeals to me (but maybe because I was lucky enough to shadow a bit of it).
I think with it's war chest, MLX is going to do brilliantly (in company building) if there is some sort of protracted downturn due to he tarrif standoff. The (mirror) opposite of what happened in the Nifty debacle. Still, they did collate and hive of WGX, which is some sort of winner at Current Au prices.
