I said it before the KDR saga came at the wrong time for KBL and poor management of the plant upgrade was another nail.

The plant upgrade came after the KDR "saga". The plant upgrade was a result of the funds being sourced from Quintana. And as I said, the KBL price went up after this and the Quintana news, which sucked a whole lot of people in.
