NSW coal seam gas sector does need to be sorted out and all the tape removed as the local manufacturing industry will be competing with the LNG pricing for their gas,(at 10 to 12 dollars per GJ, domestic gas prices will have to skyrocket) There will be a big shortfall of domestic gas. This has been known in the sector for a while but the current govt has had their heads in the sand to appease the green lobby in NSW. One thing about the article is that offhsore leases are not in NSW,(mainly WA and NT and some in Bass Strait) it's onshore there that is the key, so not sure why its in the article.
Cooper Basin gas is what will be used to supplement any shortfall as the CSG industry has been constrained due to govt bumbling/bad management.
Mid tier cooper basin plays will be a lot higher than current prices if they haven't been bought out.
