Hi Love_islander, welcome on board and a great question/issue.

Whether it will be sold off/spun off etc is not really something we can answer but the potential for it to do so is obviously there and I believe they may be setting up a corporate structure that would allow this to happen if required. You will note some new corporate subsidiaries, in particular EcoGraf Mauritius recently got a bit of discussion on Hotcopper. Also I believe all the Tanzanian assets are held in a seperate subsidiary, so this would also facilitate a spin out or sale.

But onto the second issue, is there a supply conflict of Epanko product going to Australia. I don't really think so as likely enough production to meet demands but the other factor is the output from EcoGraf In Australia may also likely be destined for Germany, so still within the mandate of supplying into Germany.

However having said that the other consideration is that EcoGraf process will allow sourcing from numerous graphite sources, this of course substantially reduces supply risk, thus if there was any such conflict with German market usage then perhaps they could also just source it from another one of their qualified deposits, which may include a deposit in Australia.

There is an interesting couple of articles that @mondrian recently posted on another stock which outlines an Australian Battery consortium that KNL is a member of. Objective of this consortium seems to be to develop an industry within Australia, so if there is a suitable graphite deposit within Australia then perhaps with KNL being part of this consortium then it may give some indications of some likely future feed sources.

Here are those articles Mondrian posted

If you have a look at the other consortium partners you will see it's quite an impressive list of the genuine players in the Australian industry.

Anyway, look forward to yours and others thoughts, as I say it's an interesting topic.

    Thanks
