On a day when the bourse is awash with red ink we shouldn't lose sight of the bigger picture emerging in the world's finances, where real growth in China and India will take over some of the running forfeited by the US.

We are also are getting close to a market bottom, and as Raks and others have suggested, we should be considering strategic purchases rather than using a 'throw the baby out with the bath water' approach.

In relation to CVI, the following still applies.

    CURRENT POSITIVES:

  2. The CVI Commodities Basket looks impressive (assuming of course CVI will have full title and the political clearances in place to proceed with the development of each project)

  3. Potentially, there is a Big Announcement in the wings – involving maybe offshore oil leases and possibly onshore leases as well?

  4. An Oil Refinery deal is now in place subject to share holder approval

  5. A credible/strategic/influential Company Chairman is soon to be appointed.

  6. A credible Board with extensive experience is already in place.

  7. Strategic partnerships with Angolan based entities appear to be in place that should NOW be sanctioned by a recently re-elected Government.

  8. Pensador Funding when finalised will ensure that company projects are fast tracked

  9. Clawback is supposedly based at 30 cents later this year, but may be done on a ratio basis.

  10. Dilution is inevitable but eventually CVI could become a $4 Billion company with say 4 Billion shares (allow 12 to 18 months)

  11. After clawback CVI will be an Angolan owned company where Local ownership will help to ensure its future success.

  12. There is the possibility of an Iron Ore Project in the wings?

  13. There is the possibility of other projects falling CVI's way?

  14. Family and friends of the Smyth family have substantial investments in the company

  15. It has been mentioned on the forum that both Global and Pershing have recently increased their stake.

  16. Directors have substantial interests as well, and Paul Williams has also increased his exposure recently

  17. There are formal strategic partnerships in place (Eg Enditrade)

  18. The eventual resumption of the world wide Commodities Bull Market should weigh heavily in the company's favour.

    Cheers
    Nev
