This situation needs a Federal Goverment hands on approach, with the overseas skilled workers recruited and sponsored to work in Aus, because of the skill shortages.
They should be sent home, I am from the Latrobe Valley in victoria, and there is a Highly skilled workforce that need jobs, if I remember correctly their are over three hundred thousand highly skilled workers, still employed here from abroad. The labtrobe Valley skilled workforce, work all over the country, and of late been retrenched, because of the fly in fly out. But the companies keep these O/S workers here, it is not something that should be allowed to continue.
The L/V is not the only area with a highly skilled W/F in this position.
