Sounds pretty positive for OSH. The tax breaks for exploration have to be a necessity and OSH's directors have been vocal for some time on this issue. PNG needs investment and it will be hardwork but this is the only path.
The Japanese consortium have apparently seen the PNG gas project as a goer and seem to be financial backers. This may be the important report eagerly sought by the consortium this last week.
Sir Michael could turn out to be the right man for the circumstances facing PNG today. Let's hope so for he will need all his experience and massive support. PNG has huge untapped potential and not just for mining. ..... tourism for example?
