First thing, nice post Equaliser, good research. Peejayhercules, there has always been theories about the Burra (Monster Mine) and others about similar orebodies down dip. The Burra mine used to supply 10% of the worlds Copper. Because of the geological setting and geology of the G2 corridor is why all the big boys looked there. WMC discovered Olympic Dam by doing what AMG is doing. Geophysical surveys followed by drilling. Need to go deep. These big suckers are big and they are deep. But they are there. BHP just discovered another big one to the North of Burra recently 350m @ 3%Cu ?? Something like that. Prominent Hill, Carpenteena, Monster Mine, all in the same geological period setting as where AMG’ ground is all 7,000 sq klms of it. They have just as much chance of scoring a big hit as BHP does as long as they go deep. Dilly dallying under 500m is a total waste of time and energy. May as well scratch yr Rs. That’s been proven time and time again in that G2 corridor. If your not prepared to go deep and be prepared to fork out the $$, save your money I say. Anyone know how deep they are going?? I see 3,000 metres all up?” But no individual depths.
