Have held these for a while now, they got their finger in a few pies. Wasn't Maybelle the name of a Chuck Berry song?

Mawson West Ltd is pleased to announce the first set of results from
the recently completed (December 2002) underground reverse
circulation (URC) drilling program on the Maybell gold project in
Norseman WA.
A total of 17 holes were completed for 329.25 metres and final
results for the first 11 holes have been received. Better intercepts
include:
20.25m @ 9.50 g/t Gold (including 8.25m @ 21.44 g/t Gold)
7.75m @ 14.83 g/t Gold
2.25m @ 11.94 g/t Gold
7m @ 9.93 g/t Gold
7.5m @ 6.67 g/t Gold
5.5m @ 7.61 g/t Gold
A full table of significant intercepts is presented in Table 1 below.
Results for the remaining 6 holes along with a full interpretation
will be reported when available.
The drilling was undertaken in order to determine the distribution
and grade of mineralisation below the current development drive and
to gain further information over the geological controls on
mineralisation. Due to the limited nature of the access underground,
drilling was completed on the main development drive (-55m level) and
sited to intersect the mineralisation at a low angle/sub-parallel.
Significantly, this style of drilling allows for a larger sample to
be taken through the ore zone, resulting in a more accurate analysis
of the gold grade (which is typically coarse with a nuggety
distribution).
The drilling has confirmed the presence of high-grade mineralisation
below the main development drive and increased confidence that the
Maybell ore-body hosts a significant and economic gold resource.
Several spectacular individual sample results were received including
0.75m @ 82.37 g/t gold and 0.75m @53.19 g/t gold (hole MBURC007) and
0.75m @ 41.56 g/t gold in hole MBURC010. Visible gold was observed in
MBURC010 as well as in MBURC017 (assays pending).

* Significant intercepts were calculated using a 1.0 g/t lower
cut-off, a maximum of 1.5 metres of internal dilution and no upper
cut.
** Coordinate system AGD 84, zone 51. All drilling completed on the
55m level (RL ~274m)
*** Sample intervals were typically 0.75m (due to 1.5m rod length)
except for the hammer which was 1m (ie from 0-1m)
A full interpretation of all the results will accompany the results
from the final six holes when they become available.
