Surely drilling for oil in the conservation area wouldn't be a realistic possibility. Although this makes up only about 10% of the Eyasi-Wembere block area.

Not even sure why they would project the blocks into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area in the first place.

It looks like the Serengeti and a majority of the wildlife like the great wildebeest migration is at least 50km - 100km to the West.

I'm sure there's plenty of other environmental and local issues to deal with. But probably not too different to what Africa Oil and Tullow have had to work through in Kenya.

And that's where the local subsidiary of Swala will be invaluable.

And just out of interest....Tullow and Heritage drilled several oil discoveries within the Murchison Falls National Park in Uganda, which is a protected area.

So I wouldn't rule anything out.
