Any developments have always appeared on Cameroonian media sites well before any official company announcements are made.

Media reporting is largely unchecked (look at the agenda FOX News were pushing about Trump/election/Jan 6 etc, that's only just come to light recently with Murdoch stepping down), whereas company announcement have to be signed off by the lawyers, hence delays.

If, for some reason, this project has failed to get up and running, it would be a major embarrassment for President Biya. And guaranteed that will be swept under the carpet as much as possible.
