Btw has anyone established the real reason why the oil target below the gas discovery was never drilled? Was it because the Kenyan Government had only negotiated rules for gas and not any new oil discovery? If so does it mean that that hole ... or say a new confirmation hole also targeting the structure below the gas field would be drilled once rules for an OIL discovery were concluded with Apache. Just a thought cos it seemed so strange at the time that the oil target was abandoned. Any Kenya "observers" onto this possibility ?
