I have been having a look around at who else is operating in this space in Aus - looks like MBD is the private money play. These guys are looking at a suite of different options related to algal production (I used to be involved in wastewater treatment ('N and P stripper' algal scrubbing / feed products production back in my aquaculture days, but this is small fry by comparison to energy production).

These guys have partnered up with JCU and have been working on a project at Tarong Power Station.

Have some interesting people involved (Jerry Ellis - the Big Australian himself!). Can't see who the money is behind it, but they have a flashy website.
