I don't think actual war but posturing most definitely and you can put your own price on that. While China continues to behave like its still the little guy underdog one-up-man-ship will continue until a stale mate of puffed out chests is reached.
Just my layman's view.
That's why I am quietly expecting tensions to rise with our mate Trumpy and his disrespectful twitter rants fuelling the South China Sea Spratly Island fortress thing followed by ego and verbal stoushes. This all means big military spending on both sides and plenty of steel required. Nothing like a pretend war to get economies cranking.
Vietnam is/has expanded a runway on its Spratly Island and moved rocket launchers there to counter China's aggression. Ping Pong anyone?
