    I think that he is trying to say that somehow a japanese company lost billion chinese yuan trading U$ backed sub prime mortgages. Now thats some financial engineering - imagine the fees, turning yen into yuan then yuan into U$, and that the opposite of the US federal reserve the US federal reverse is going to lower interest rates hope that helps...
