Have a look around the thread here mate... You will realize many here have done extensive research on HIO and a great understanding of what they are investing in. The HIO HC thread is about as good as they come with many quality posters including Tran. And many come to the same conclusion as him which is there is lots and lots of potential here.
Until shortly before the PFS I also thought MGT might be a good alternative although I never found the valuation as good as HIO. So its not that strange there were people excited about MGT.... In a high IO price environment they may still do well, although looking at the PFS I am skeptical of MGT and it appears Tran has come to similar conclusions.
Would you have preferred he had trashed MGT publicly? If you have followed MGT on HC I would think there have been several posters there warning of the poor economics of the project under lower IO prices, and these people got widely scolded by the group of strong believers..
