I've had a couple cancelled, didn't pay any bkge.
Broker told me a story of a client a while back who refused to return shares on request from ASX (assume a phone call), he didn't and ended up costing him thousands. From memory, they cancelled the purchase and the client had to buy back at a premium.
A lot of $$$$$ to be made but gotta be prepared to give it back if there's a tap on the shoulder.
