MCC have been talking to the local landholders associations about setting up a couple of transport company's to transport chromite from the mine to a wharf at Madang.Appearently chromite is a by produce of the mining process but I causes too much ware if transported by pipeline. Figures mentioned are 160,000 tons per annum .I don't know if this is concentrate or the final product. In fact I don't know much about it at all. In all my years as a shareholder of HIG I have never heard mention of chromite. I googled chromite prices and it seems to go for around $400 a ton. PLEASE No one take my figures too seriously wait for some official mention of it sometime. Keep the faith , they will come good sometime.
