Irrespective of the legalise built into the contracts , my view is that we have a moral right to recover the full $ 400 million for the CL sale . The Chinese are clearly stalling , IMO , and will undoubtably be forced to pay up eventually , especially if the contract is under Australian law .
If things do eventually go against us, it will leave a nasty taste in the mouth of all resource companies who are considering dealing with MCC etc ...i.e. can they be trusted to honour their obligations ??
This is the most important part of any commercial relationship in my view , " can we trust the other party " ??
