This is a false dichotomy that Mark has been great at presenting, the "if we opened then we'd be in lockdown etc"

The fact is his team make the rules re lockdown, rememebr the lockdown last aus day from a single case? Did it have to be that way? I got stuck onsite for an extra week since no planes could leave perth, when this guy with a super strain of covid didnt even pass it on to his 4 housemates?

He went to these extremes (and they worked so good on him), but it was far from the only choice. It was always possible to have cases and not shut down

For example Vic/NSW were in "hard lockdowns" for months, yet the mines kept running, (Fosterville continued to make massive profits while Vic was in the grips of a 4 month covid lockdown)

Everytime Marko says "well we could re-open but then we'd have these restricitons" (like at christmas when SA and QLD opened), it is insincere as they arent the only 2 options, but when presented as the only 2 options, locking fellow australians out becomes a popular decision

    Cheers
