That has happened twice in my career: (a) during the major Airline Strike in 1989 (b) when Ansett fell over 20 years ago.
Westfarmers is obviously centralised with State Managers located in Perth while many other national corporations domicile their State Managers in the respective State Capitals
Both the central and decentralised management corporate organisation structures have their strengths & weaknesses and obviously the centralist model falls short when there are air travel/quarantine issues.
