I don't know about how sick this child is but I do know the numbers in general in WA ....We have 95% vaccination rate but a third of all hospital admissions are completely unvaxed . We only have 9 people in ICU at present , has been lower recemtly , and the booster rate in Wa near 80% which I think is about the best in Oz . We've had least deaths per head of population and least disruption . You can talk all you want about individual cases but here in WA high vaccination rtes have saved us .
