McGowan's lead slipping in Indi.
Independent Cathy McGowan's lead over Liberal incumbent Sophie Mirabella continues to shrink in Indi, while the seat of McEwen is still on a knife edge.
Ms McGowan's 837-vote lead in the Victorian seat had been cut to 769 at 2pm on Sunday.
She was optimistic on Saturday night, but acknowledged her numbers were dropping.
"I'm still hopeful but I'm not there yet," Ms McGowan said.
Mrs Mirabella has held the seat since 2001 and went to last weekend's poll with a nine per cent lead.
Meanwhile, Labor incumbent Rob Mitchell had a tiny 25-vote lead over Liberal Donna Petrovich in the seat of McEwen at 2pm.
It's the first time Mr Mitchell has led since counting began, despite a swing of more than 10 per cent away from Labor in the electorate.
