I'm not sure that's a reasonable statement given what we now know about the state of inventory. Because the underlying profitability at any point in time should really take into account the value of their entire inventory and it seems that value may now be considered too high.
It's also not reasonable to just point at a single period. They're clearly struggling to trade profitably now. But yes, they may trade profitably again. Absolutely.
No doubt that's what buyers at this price expect and they may be right.
