Because that's working so well in the US and Brazil right? That's been so " effective" compared to say NZ?
Herd immunity doesn't work if individual immunity only lasts 3 months which is the case with Covid-19. If you want to let it rip that's one thing but the "and create herd immunity" at the end of your sentence is fantasy.
You're also missing the point that even for some young people the after effects can be lifelong and debilitating.
