You are presuming everyone shorts though PU, many don't and so if you are wrong you get out and wait for another long opportunity and try again, In my case I'll trade multiple stocks so if I cut the losers short and ride the winners the net result is positive. If you cut your losses quick its not hard to trade them back in 1 or 2 winning trades.
Each to their own style i guess
