I am not underestimating the desire for Australian Products at all. In fact I am completely for this!
It is ecargo that are doing as you say. They have no offices in Australia, limited Australian management in mainly directors and no future plans to actually actively recruit suppliers/products. Who is going to manage say a Honey supplier? Lawrence and a small team in HKG?
Australian suppliers will not trust this. They want people here in Australia. What about payments for the Australian goods?
The current model has the supplier advertising through the ecargo network, then a purchase and then a supply. It simply does not work on this scale. Ecargo need more Australian management and some sort of finance to secure them.
