It is also possible for companies to completely undervalue their own assets. Just look at the recent BHP glencore deal where BHP and Anglo essentially sold a mine for free. Remember we bought the mine at peak pessimism so POG would have been asset around the US 1600 an ounce. Therefore must be significant potential upside which the market is not counting on. A lot depends on the POG at prices above AUD 2500 an ounce deal starts looking ok apart from the dilution aspect of it.
