Hi hrr, welcome to the ARL site. I seems you are only new to the forums & I'm finding your comments, so far, to be somewhat interesting. Have you researched ARL's announcements? There is very little comparison between Heron's proposed & ARL's proposed processing of laterites. Much has changed & vastly improved, as you have alluded to yourself. Just peruse the affiliated organisations that are working with ARL with regards to processing 'our specific' laterites.
If laterite is going to be processed in quality & quantity in Aust. then it is my opinion that ARL is where it will happen!' Check out the fundamentals of this company, research the companies announcements & include the comments of 'well researched' forum members here. You will find it all VERY interesting!
By the way, hrr, not the best of names to choose, let's hope it works for you though!
