Not sure whether this has been canvassed before, but should the fact that KDR was in discussions with SQM have been made public before they have entered into a deal. Would there be any breach of the continuous disclosure requirements for ASX listed companies by not doing so? Have I missed something in a previous KDR announcement where they disclosed that they were in such discussions? This deal reminds me a bit of the BGS fiasco in that there was an offer presented to shareholders as a done deal - which then created a significant shareholder reaction.
