I would say no chance at all (Dattels taking over as md) although he is likely to join the board. The Extract chairman Steve Galloway is Namibian and Inge Zaamwani the md of the Nam govt/De Beers diamond miner Namdeb is also on the board. These appointments were promoted by Extract's main shareholder Kalahari Minerals (39%) which wants to see Extract's corporate administration relocated from Perth to Namibia, a local CEO appointed and the company listed on the Namibian Stock Exchange (NSX) while retaining its primary ASX listing.
Dattels does not fit this bill. Also Kalahari wants to take the project further before selling out- at least the post-feasibility stage and the Namibians will try and keep Extract out of Rio's hands because Rio is already a powerful player in the Namibian mining industry as majority shareholder in Rossing.
