I've been aware of that event, or series of events for decades, almost as long as I have of the Burma Railway, the Sandarkan death marches, the bombing of Darwin, Broome and Townsville, the sinking of the hospital ship Centaur and other "incidents" as we/they tend to call them these days. None of them forgotten, and none of them anything to do with Kool Aid.

I never in my wildest dreams imagined that as I sit at my computer, in 2020, not 1942, I would have one eye on what the "consequences" of what I type may have, one day, on me and or my family, not "many many generations hence".
